Our Baby Girl

Miss Mallory Brook
I still can't believe I'm having a baby girl.  Every day the excitement gets stronger and stronger as I feel her little kicks and turns.  She active and seems to be quite the little night owl!!!!
I wonder about her personality, what her interest will be, and what avenues she will pursue.
I know she is going to be well taken care of by her big brother, Barrett....along her mommy and daddy (not to mention, all the wonderful family and friends that we have)!
We were able to see precious sonogram photos of her today!  One is of her profile and the other is a picture of her little foot!  At one point during the sonogram, she turned her head, looked at us, and blinked her eyes.
Oh, how I wonder what she is going to look like!!!  Just a few more weeks and we'll find out.  My due date is August 10th.
Not sure about the type of delievery.  Right now she is breech.  If she doesn't turn into the correct position, then I'll be having a C-section.

Fishing

One of our activities for the summer afternoons, includes FISHING!  Matt has recently discovered multiple ponds/lakes around our neighborhodd, that have quite a few variety of fish.
We decided to get Barrett more involved (usually he likes just running up and down the hills, playing with the tackle box, and feeding the ducks).  He recieved two fishing poles for his birthday in May, and we really haven't had the chance to test them out.............until this day.
We started off by having a nice little picnic, then headed down to the pond to wet our hook.
Matt set the first few casts, and then would hand over the reel to Barrett.  In no time at all, he noticed his little bobber being pulled into the water, and that's when Matt gave him the cue to reel it in!

Swim Test
Barrett passed his swim test at our neighborhood pool (July 3, 2012)!!!  Just in case you're wondering, the swim test (back and forth across the pool) allows him access to our neighborhood slides.
The slides are tall, and it takes a lot of courage to just climb the stairs to the very top...especially for a 4 year old!  But he did it and I'm so proud.  Two times down the slides on his first day!!!
I'm a proud Momma!!!!!!
