Last Part of Spring Break 2011

We're soooooo excited about this coming weekend. Matt surprised Barrett and I with tickets to see a real, live, Thomas the Train over at Grapevine this Saturday. We haven't told Barrett about it yet. We're going to wait until Saturday morning!!!! I can't wait to see his expression and the look on his face once we arrive!!! So much fun, and (as you know) lots of pictures to come!!!!
Choooo-choooooo
My little guy is getting so big. He can almost cross a few monkey bars all by himself. Have you all tried that at our age? Yikes! Body weight is a big deal when you're 33 years old! hahaha

We took a trip to the zoo last Friday. We had a nice time, but it was really crowded and parking took forever. It's not fun telling an almost 3 year old that they have to sit in the car when the zoo (and animals) are in plain sight right next to the car.
Once we got inside and saw our favorite animals (elephants, giraffes, and monkeys), we were all in a much better mood!
Saturday night, we planned on grilling out, but it's just been so windy. We decided to have a family dinner date. Notice B's watery eyes. The allergies circulating in the wind...just isn't fun for my boys (Barrett and Matt).

Picture Editing...

So a friend of mine "spruced up" my pictures a little...

Country Kick'en

Barrett and I took a trip out to Throckmorton at the beginning of our Spring Break. Unfortunately, Matt had to work, so it was just the two of us. Barrett had a "first" with a boat ride on Uncle Corey's boat! We fished all afternoon and caught quite a few crappie (we'll be eating those at our next annual fish fry)!!!

I think we spent the entire time outside, which is fine with me (and Barrett too). We helped Papa with some work that needed to be done and at the end of the day, we went for a swim in Aunt Brandi's hot tub!
I attempted to take some "practice" shots of Barrett around Mom and Dad's place. Of course I didn't coordinate any outfits this time...but found a lot more "background ideas" to use in the future.
I did have fun just snapping playful moments of Bear. He wasn't about to pose, and when he did...it didn't last long.

Check-in

As I sit here writing my latest post, I can't believe it has been so long since I've posted pictures (at least it seems like a long time for me). Some of you might not have missed me, but I've missed YOU!!!
School has been keeping me busy. I guess being in a new district and opening a new school, I've definitely kept on top of things, and therefore, the luxuries of my previous school (where everyone knows you and understands you) has been a challenge because I feel like I need to prove that I'm not just some "rookie" they let into the door.
On top of just regular school business, I took on the responsibility of doing our school's yearbook. Oh my! I never realized how much "outside" time that would consume. Whew...I'm glad it finally on its way to publishing!!!!
We're still trying to sell our house. I'm hoping with our latest price adjustment and nice weather, someone will drop by and fall in love.
Barrett is getting taller (imagine that) and continues to amaze me every day. His personality is one of a kind, and every day of his life he brings so much joy!!!!
We're hoping to have a great Spring Break. We have a few things planned to do. Our first being to head out to West Texas to visit family. I'll be posting pictures soon.
This year, my dad isn't going to stick us with a real DUCK! I've already bought a fake little furry rabbit to take the place of any wild animals!!!
