Snapshots in January

January has been a busy month!  However, thanks to technology, I'm able to take a lot of snapshots!!!!  Life is great!  I'm thankful for so many things.  God is great!  I've been blessed in so many wonderful ways.

Oh How He Loves Her....

Actions speak louder than words, and these pictures have the proof.
The top photo is a picture I took on my phone of our bedroom video monitor.  Matt and I woke up one morning to Barrett's sweet voice singing to Mallory.  He had taken one of his little chairs from his own room and placed it beside Mallory's crib so that he could climb up and see her better.  He was reaching over her crib to hold her hand and sing to her a lullaby.  The two songs he continued to sing were, "You are My Sunshine" and "Red River Valley" (a song from his preschool CD that we use to sing together last year while I was pregnant.
I can't begin to tell you proud and blessed I am to have Barrett as a son.  Every day he continues to amaze me.  He has such a kind heart and is always there to help me, love me, and tell me that I'm the best momma in the world.  There are times when I feel like he has more patience than I do and I honestly think if it weren't for his endless love...I would fall apart.  I love my little boy so very much!!!!
As you can see, he is in love with his baby sister.  He feeds her bottles, sings to her, teaches her all kinds of things, and loves her unconditionally.  It's the sweetest thing to see the two of them together.
Mallory (Mally) loves him too.  She adores him, matter of fact!!!  Her face lights up when he walks into the room or when she hears his voice.  I huge, toothless grin will spread across her face and her legs and arms shake with excitement.  She's so fun to watch, and such a "cuddle bunny".
I've got the BEST two children in the whole world!  They are PERFECT!!!!

Perot Museum

Dallas opened the Perot Museum in December of 2012.  We heard it had some fabulous exhibits!
We decided check it out for ourselves.  I'm so glad we went.  It was a really neat experience and lots of learning involved.

New Year's Eve

This year we spent New Year's Eve with our friends, The Polpelkas!!!  We met Courtney and Jay because of Barrett's friendship with his best buddy Pierce.  They both attend Primrose West Allen.  We also had the pleasure of hanging out with little Miss Anabelle, her brother Donavon, Courtney #2, and Brian.  We spent the evening playing cards and celebrating the memories of 2012!!!!
Main Events of 2012
*Birth of our baby girl, Mallory Brook Barner.
*Not going to forget Barrett swallowing a marble.
*Barrett officially learned to swim!  He went down the neighborhood pool slides for the first time.
*Papa Barner retired from Fireston
*Reached a personal goal of running 3 5Ks after the birth of Mallory.  Best times ever...last one being 28:00minutes.
*Barrett learned to ride his bike (briefly) without training wheels
*We have a new love for Firehouse Subs - Barrett was introduced to a meatball sub and he thinks it's a "pizza sandwich"
*Some of Barrett's new favorites include: Imaginext brand of toys and the Avengers

Winter Break 2013 Snapshots

Here are just a few snapshots of the kids over the Christmas break!  It was pretty cold for the majority of the two weeks we were off.  I enjoyed each and every moment with my family!!!!!
