Zoo in July

We took a trip to the Dallas Zoo last Sunday. We tried to get there early (before the heat...and the crowds).
Barrett walked the entire time (except for the occasional boosts up on daddy's shoulders to see the animals). He was one tired little boy by the time we left.

Matt and I were worried about Barrett staying hydrated on this super hot day...but Barrett was much more concerned about the alligator "statue" getting something to drink! Maybe Barrett needs a pet since he seems to take such good care of them.

If it were up to him though, he would want an alligator, monkey, or giraffe.

This is Barrett's reaction when I told him not to waste the water and keep it for himself to drink! What do you think he is saying to me???
