Church Time

Matt and I decided to visit a church closer to home today. We've been going to Farmer's Branch Church of Christ and it seems to take us forever to get over there on Sunday mornings. We're always late and usually once we get there, Barrett decides that he is hungry or he needs a diaper change (I guess it's the relaxing music or something that always makes him "go").

Although we love our original church home and have close friends and family there, we thought it would be a good idea to try some place "new".

Overall, it was a fantasitc experience. I had the pleasure of seeing one of my favorite "ex-4th grade" students, and I even left Barrett for the first time with the church nursery. By the time I returned to get him, he had been fed, changed, napped, and was laughing with the entire nursery staff!!!!

T-Town Trip

Barrett and I spent the week in Throckmorton with my parents, sister, brother-in-law and two nieces. We had such a wonderful time and Barrett met many milestones while we were there.

• -He has started talking and loves hearing himself. Plus, he enjoys all the attention he gets from the family. They had him squealing with delight. Once he gets to talking, he moves his legs and arms so fast...I seriously think he is about to "take off" in flight.
• He is so close to turning over...but his arm gets into the way...leaving him with quiet a temper!
• -He is wearing 3month clothes...and turned 3 months today. Therefore, he seems to be right on track. Although I must admit, his feet are so long. In that department, the child is wearing 6-12 month socks!
• -He has occasions where he will eat 6 ounces and still squeals for more, more, more. If he eats anything like his daddy...we're going to be in BIG trouble.

These are some "work gloves" that Papa gave Barrett. The two of them are already good buddies and Barrett can't wait to help his Papa on the farm.

Trip to Graham

Our little/tall family recently took a road trip this past weekend to Graham, Texas where we visited Matt's grandparents, mom, and aunt. They were all so excited to see how much Barrett has grown. He even did a little TALKING for them while we were there.

So Sleepy

All the playing makes Barrett tired. When he is "out"...he is "OUT". This usually the time I break out the nail clippers and get busy! ha ha

Around the House

We've been doing lots of reading lately and Barrett's loving every minute of it. He especially likes the silly voices I make.
We've found that our hands make a great substitute as a pacifier and holding on to an object is easy...it's the letting go that seems to be the hardest part.


He is serious about his farm animals!



This is his newest cuddling position. I think he senses that I'm about to go back to work. He loves to snuggle! I love it too.


We made a stop in to see the pediatrician yesterday. Barrett's weigh-in is now 12lbs and 13oz. I was impressed. We just got into size 1 diapers and he's already about to grow out of them. I knew he was on a growing spurt!!!!

Weeble-Wobble Boy

Okay...so we're still a little wobbly...but we're certainly making some progress on sitting up in our Bumbo chair.

Every Morning

I couldn't pass up the picture below of Barrett. Due to his acid reflux...the doctor ordered for him to sleep on an incline at night. Every morning, Matt and I find poor little Barrett at the end of his crib all bunched up like this. Poor little thing!!! Notice...he sleeps like a typical MAN!I'm going to miss taking "mid-morning" naps so much once I start back to school. There isn't a better feeling than having your precious little baby, sound to sleep on your chest. Ahhhhh...what wonderful SNUGGLER Barrett is!!!!
